As we talked together this morning, enjoying lazy luxury (that got me to work 8 minutes late), I chose to relate a consideration that I'd had yesterday on the way home from work. In an attempt not to lay out all the tracks that train had driven on, I stated something like, "The denomination of the Christians who survive the coming calamities and destruction won't really matter."
She questioned my poorly-voiced hypothesis with a logic-challenging, "Oh?"
I tried to reshape my thoughts by mentioning that the turmoil and upheaval to come are a cleansing to prepare the world for the Savior's return.
She listened.
As I drove to work, the fog in my head cleared a bit and it hit me: for those that survive the coming troubles, religious designations of any sort will be completely irrelevant. As Isaiah points out, those around to welcome the Lord in that day will be a "righteous remnant".
The only qualification people need to survive difficulties ahead is to be a "Follower of Righteousness"; as Father Abraham was.
She was right.
Again.
